Orleans Darkwa, New York Giants, illness, (Q), 1:00 p.m. ET: Darkwa was added to the injury report Thursday due to illness. The positive is that he returned to Friday’s practice for limited participation. Despite the questionable tag, he is expected to be available to play.
Roger Goodell has signed a contract extension to remain commissioner of the NFL, ProFootballTalk reported Wednesday, citing a memo sent to owners.
According to the report there was reportedly a “nearly unanimous consensus” among owners to re-sign Goodell.
In May 2017, the consensus was unanimous, but in recent weeks Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly has been trying to keep Goodell from being re-signed.
Terms of the new five-year deal weren’t made public, but multiple reports say Goodell could make up to $200 million, the vast majority though being “tied to meeting financial targets and other incentives,” or even more.
