Gas Prices Drive Down Auto Accident Rates in Bakersfield, California
Posted by admin in Auto Accidents Lawyer on July 1, 2011
There’s one happy outcome of soaring gas prices that Bakersfield traffic enforcement officials had not planned for – a corresponding drop in auto accidents in the area.
The statistics speak for themselves. According to numbers released by the California Highway Patrol published in The Bakersfield Californian, the number of car accidents have dropped by at least 14 percent since the same period last year. That’s a whopping decrease, no matter what the reason. Last year, Bakersfield witnessed a total of more than 6,000 car accidents. This year sees a markedly improved scenario. Apparently, the rising prices of gas have discouraged people from getting behind the steering wheel unless absolutely essential. There is a lesser amount of driving and consequently, fewer accidents. Fewer vehicles on the road generally tend to make for fewer car crashes.

Auto Accidents With Multiple Vehicles
Posted by admin in Vehicle Accidents on June 20, 2011
When you are involved in an auto accident with multiple cars, the process works a little bit differently than if it is just you and another driver. For one thing, the crash may cause more serious injuries, especially if trucks, buses or other large vehicles are involved. You need an attorney to help you through the process of a multiple vehicle accident, because only a car accident attorney will have the knowledge and experience to reconstruct the accident, question witnesses properly and determine who was at fault for the collision.
Generally, a multi-car collision starts with just one or two cars. These cars crash which causes other cars that are behind them to crash. On high speed interstates this is somewhat common, as drivers do not have time to stop. An attorney can figure out, with accident reconstruction, which vehicle or vehicles initially caused the crash and which vehicles collided through no fault of their own simply because they were not able to stop in time. A personal injury attorney can help prove that you had no choice but to run into other cars.

Councils across Britain pay out millions of pounds in compensation every year as a result of accident claims. The majority of these are due to slips and trips on council land which result in injury.
However new recent figures show that for one council ninety percent of the money paid out for in compensation for accident claims is due to accidents being cause by drivers employed by the council. The figures show that since January 2007 Bournemouth Council has had to pay more than fifty thousand pounds to settle accident claims.
